The 2009 Newspaper Expo, the county’s first exposition centered on newspapers and mass media, will be held on May 1 to 5 at the Korean International Exhibition Center, Kintex, in Goyang, Gyeonggi.
Co-hosted by the Korean Association of Newspapers and the Goyang Municipal Government, the expo will feature booths from 47 publications, a “Newspapers In Education” hall and other exhibitions structured to help visitors learn more about newspapers and new media. It will also include job fairs and seminars on the future of the industry.
The JoongAng Ilbo, JoongAng Daily’s sister paper, has prepared numerous events and programs for families. The newspaper intends to showcase its new slimmer format and its global media network, JMnet.
The JoongAng Ilbo’s presentation will be held at 5 p.m. on May 1 at booth No. 210. The paper’s promotional booth is located to the left of the exhibition hall’s entrance.
