The Korea JoongAng Daily has appointed Hong
Jeong-do, CEO of JoongAng Media Network (JMnet),
as its publisher effective today.
Hong is in charge of managing JMnet’s 37 subsidiaries
and 26 media brands including the JoongAng
Ilbo, a leading Korean daily newspaper, and JTBC, a
TV channel. The Korea JoongAng Daily is one of JMnet’s
media platforms.
After graduating from Wesleyan University, Hong
received an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Since
joining JMnet in 2005 as a member of the Strategic
Planning Office, Hong has developed overall corporate strategies for the leading media group.
