High school students are invited to participate in the 2008 Korea International Model Congress, hosted by the IHT-JoongAng Daily and organized by JoongAng Ilbo Premium Media. The model congress will reconstruct the review and decision-making processes of the G-8, World Economic Forum, World Environment Conference, World Health Assembly and U.S. Congress to allow participants to develop their ability to speak about international issues.

The event will take place for two days on Aug. 25 and 26 at Yonsei University’s Widang Hall and the lecture halls and auditorium of the university’s United Graduate School of Theology. All programs will be conducted in English, and participants will receive certificates from the IHT-JoongAng Daily.

*Application deadline: Ordinary participants by Aug. 5 and members of the boards by July 30.

*Applicants: High school students nationwide

*Quota: 30 for each committee (a total of 300 participants)

*Announcement of participants: Individual notices will be sent to ordinary participants by Aug. 7 and board members by Aug. 2.

*Application fee: 80,000 won
