A special discussion between Dr. Vinton Cerf, often dubbed the father of the Internet, and Korea’s first astronaut, Yi So-yeon, will be held tomorrow. As the 40th anniversaries of the birth of the Internet and mankind’s first moon landing are coming next year, Dr. Cerf, vice president of Google, will touch on issues like the Internet’s uses in space and how the Web will change the future.

The discussion will be published in the JoongAng Ilbo and JoongAng Daily and on Joins.com, YouTube and a Google blog. Subscribers are welcome to take part by sending questions for Dr. Cerf and Yi to vint@joongang.co.kr or www.youtube.co.kr/googlekorea. People from all walks of life, including Paik Hong-yul, president of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and entertainer Hong Jin-kyung, have sent in questions. The meeting is co-hosted by the JoongAng Ilbo and Google Korea.
